Two thous- and voluntecr policemen are expected to prevent a recurrence of the trouble. The rioting began late yesterday and it was not until one o'clock this morning that the mobs which had kept police busy in various parts of the city for more than six hours had dispersed. . Eight stroet cars were wrecked, the office of the Denver Post partially demolished and damage done to car barns in widely separated sections of the city . The riots followed the first suc- cessful effort of the tramway com- pany to carry passengers on street cars manned by armed strike break- ers. The Denver Post opposed the strike. Every window in the place was broken, presses hammered, sand thrown into the rollers, and the bus- incss office wrecked. REPORT FOOD SHOKTAGE. Lack Supplies in Territory Evac- uated By Poles.
