BERNARD F. GAFFNEY, Judge. CHIROPRACTIC TALKS No. 5 ‘ObstructedNerves’ (By J. A. VOLZ, THE CHIROPRACTOR) It ia & well-known fact that if the nerves leading to the foot were cut, the foot would be paralyzed and, try as we might, we could not move it. This demonstrates how im- portant nerves are, controlling as they do not only the foot, but the movements, func- tion and health of every part, tissue and organ of the body. If an organ stops functioning when the nerves supplying it are cut, it is equally true that an organ cannot function normally when the nerves supplying it are pinched. Take as an example the foot again. Pinch the large trunk nerve in the leg by sitting on the edge of & chair or by squatting down on the toes and the foot “goes to sieep.” To cut a nerve means to destroy its ca. pacity tn transmit nerve force; to PINCH a nerve means to DIMINISH its capacity to transmit nerve force. CHIROPRACTIC RELEASES NERVE PRESSURE! Clinical observation discloses the fact that . there is only one place where trunk nerves | can and do become pinched permanently. { This i= at the spine. where they leave the | spinal cora and make their exits through small, round openings between the spinal | bones. The trunk nerves fit snugly in these openings and if a spinal segment gets out place only the fraction of an inch the size of the opening is decreased and the nerve there is pinched. If the affected nerve supplies the stomach, some form of disease will manifest itself there. 1f it regulates the heart, or the liver, or the intestines, or the kidneys, there will be abnormal function as a result. So it is with every unnatural condition of the body, for all disease can be traced back to the spine CHIROPRACTIC GETS RESULTS! Come to the office and let Chiropractic put you on the road 6 Health.
