TEACHERS ATTEND DUTIES AS USUAL No New Haven Teachers FKollow Rumored Threat to Walk Out as Resnlt of Ruling. New llaven, Feb. 14.—No pubiic school teacher has offered his or her resignation because of opinions given by three lawyers to Mayor FitzGerald to the effect that the city may not at this time increase the teachers’ sal- ary list, according to a statement from the office of the board of educa- tion. The teachers were addressed by Mavor FitzGerald in a general meet- ing but it is understood that they ob- jected to listening to the reading of all the opinions. Afterwards reports were prevalent that teachers might not all report for duty as a protest against low salaries, and that resigna- tions were to be freely ofered. Teachesr in New Haven schools are under agreement covering the school vear. The office of the board of education stated that every teacher yesterday was on duty as usual except those ex- cused by illness, and thehe was noth- ing to the reparts that teachers had struck tvalked out ar resigned.
