Washington, Nov. 25.—Great quan- tities of sugar are hidden by moon- shiners in the mountains of East Ten- nessee, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina for the manufacture of illicit according to revenue officers districts. Irvine and T. T. Crew, who operate in the mountalns east of Chattanooga. found more than a thousand pounds of granulated sugar at one blockade distillery in the Smoky Mountains. Juarez, Mexico, Nov. —The court-martial trial of ‘General Angeles, 'ehief lieutenant of Francisco Villa, proceeded today at Chihuahua City, and, according to advices received here, it probably will not be com- pleted for two or three davs. Major Gabino Sandoval and the four federal soldlers who captured Angeles on November 15 in the Slerra De lLas Moras district have recetved a reward for their services. Sandoval has been promoted to be a leutenant- colonel and the privates received 1,000 pesos.
