NEW BRITAIN DAILY HERALD, MONDAY, NOVEMBEK 10, 1916. Is Tomorrow, November 11th. Exactly one year previous to that day, the armies of Allied patriots forced the Germans to acknowledge defeat. On that day the world realized that the sacred rights of humanity and civilization were not be denied. It was proved that right must and will prevail against might, and that no unscrupulously ambitious nation can hope to tread rough shod over the rights of the free peoples of the world without suffering the con- sequences. Think of the great weork which the ——RED CROSS—— Did to bring the war to a successful end. Think how the Red Cross rescued our wounded sol- diers and nursed them back to health; remember how the Red Cross alleviated the sufferings of people who inhabited the war stricken countries; and don’t forget the Red Cross is a per- manent institution which still does and always will render aid whenever and wherever there is distress. Therefore, it is fitting that on the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, the Red Cross Membership Drive Comes to a climax. The streets of New Britain will be flooded with girls who will have your membership buttons ready. All you will need to dois to pay your dollar and receive your button, which will show that you are giving your hearty support to that greatest of all causes.
