The meeting will also hear a report from a comi®itec which was authorized purchase more land for West cemetery be- half of the Plainville Cemetery ciation. The report which will be made the huilding committee is the subject af much speculation and will undoubt- edly prove interesting to everybody in Plainville. The committee has sup- posedly investigated the necessity for a new town building. There is no ac- tual ssity for such an investig tion, as it was conceded some time ago that the nt building is in- suflicient for purpose of a publio building A considerable sum of money was expended in rebuilding the old town hall after it was destroyved by fire and the new plans provided only for a { building devoted to offices for the town officials and for a court room and li- brary. There hall in the build- ing which may used for public meetings, entertainments or like as- semblages. The young people of the tawn have fo go to other towns and {eTiss tor retroat ot el Ghaing e Hall being too small to suit the needs of the public. An instance of this was furnished last cvening when a dance | was held by a club composed of young people from Mountain View. Thoe dance was a failure tinancially and so- cially, because the young people could not attract a crowd when fthe affair was held in such a hall. The doors were closed earlier than is usual at such an affair The point of greatest interest to the public is whethertpr not the commit- tee has located a suitable site for the erection of a building and {he next question is, “What will the town offi- ciuls do about the matter?” The ques- tion has been the subject of lively agi- tation for a long time and no doubt the town meeting will be the most in- teresting one which has been held in some time Late Tootball Practice. ssengers on trolley cars were tly amused and interested last evening between the hours of 7 and 9 | o'clock 1o see a crowd of hoys holding | faotball practice in front of the large | on the property Electric The sign s to on asso- by nec Dres the a is no be signboard Trumbull company of the Manufacturing board is illumi- nated by a powerful clectric search- lizhit placed on one of the buildin and the hoys utilized the artificial light until it turned off.
