The questionnaires for the service men in the town of Berlin are being ziven out as far as possible but many tuficulties are being encountered by the committee as a number ol the men are very hard to reach, especially those working in the brickyards “ Members of tne committee have to 5o to the yards to find the .men, taking considerable time. Kensington is be- ing covered by Miss Alice Huston and Miss Helen Rohm, who are giving practically their whole time to the work. The main difficulty met with is fthe inaccuracy of some of the ad- dresses, making it necessary to do double duty to locate the men en titled to the questionnaires. The cer- lificate which has been on display at the Iensington postofiice during the week has attracted many who admire its beauty and attractiveness. Next week a list of the men in Ber- lin who are entitled to a certificate Will be published. The framed speci- men of the certificate will be on dis- | play at the Berlin postoffice during the week so that every one may have an opportunity to see it. Railroad Situattion Same, The freight situation in Jerlin re- mains practically the same. All freight is still under embargo, not even car- Joads being received for shipment. All milk and foodstuifs, however, are be- \ing forwarded. The R. O. The passenger trains are running on & reduced schedule much the same as yesterday. There are some people who will come to the station at 8 o'clock expecting trains, with the result that they have to wait until 11 o’clock be- fore they can leave, as all the trains hetween the above named hours have been annulled. Mails are being car- ried regularly with the exception of the 9 o'clock mail which is cut out One thing was noticeable this morn- ing which is probably due to the strike and that is the large freights that pass | through. Tt looks as though the rail- rads were trying to get twice as many cars to an engine as before the strike One engine was stuck on getting its load up-grade this morning, having nearly 40 cars and the engine was one Horlick’s the Original .
