This proposition was favored by Commissioner John Downes, who stated that the building can be given up when a place is pro- | vided for a garage for the board of | public works. It was proposed by | Commissioner John Moore that ti building be turned over to the fire commissioners and that rent be paid somewhere else for the public works | cars. City Engineer W. H. Hall re-| ported that there are at the present! time seven cars in the building. 1It| was suggested by Chairman Nj who presided, that the board of fire commissioners should be notified of the willingness of the public works bo to give up the building and suggested that a vote he taken. It was voted that the fire commissioners be mnotified that the public works board will turn over the building when suitable garage room is provided for the public works cars. Complaint on Drainage, The attention of the board was next drawn to a letter which had been submitted by Dr. William Stockwell, | of the health department, calling the attention of the water commissioners to the collection of water between Black Rock avenue and South Burritt street.
