‘TRID BOUND OVER FOR $830 THEFT Men Who “Rho—lledv‘ Bezrundezk Held in $1,000 Bonds Probable cause was found by il day and RBennie Juds: in police court to- Charies ed Stev Laranitis Konopka and Bruno Potath, char With the theft of $850 Bezrundezk were bound over to the next term of the superior court un. der bonds of $1,000. Judge F. B. Hun- gerford appeared for Laranitis. Steve, it is alleged, was relieved of a roll consisting of $850 Tuesday afternvon by the accused after he had becn 1a en for a joy-ride in Benny st Steve complained to the police about 1 o'clock yesterday morning that his roll had been removed from his per- eon as he was sleeping in Laranitis’ car and heé suspected his three pals of the preceeding afternoon of having taken the money. Detective Sergeant A. J. Richardon went to Charles Konopka's home and questioned him concerning the money and he denicd any con- nection with the theft, threatening to have Steve arrested for thus assailin his character in accusing him of ta ‘ing the roll. He admitted having been 2 member of the party in which Steve left Walter Donahue saloon earlier in the afternoon. The money was removed from his money belt at that time and handed over to Benny who was waiting downstairs, and he handed Charlie 0 and kept 3330 dismissing Bruno with the statement “I'll see you later.”” The he hid in a side curtain on his car and went to his home.
