We shall advocate an increase of $5,000 in janitors’ salaries fram $18,000 to $23,000 We shall NOT advocate an increase in salary of the Superintendent of Schools! The attitude of the Superintendent of Schools in calling a Meeting of the teachers yesterday afternoon and falsely representing to them that it was our intention not to raise but cut their sal- aries and that it wasof vital importance to them, their bread and butter to go and to have their friends and relations go to the City Meeting and vote down our budget, merits the condemnation of every self-respecting citizen.
