Tt was voted to recommend to the mon council that the salary of Plumbing Inspector Thomas J. Quin- livan beincreased from $2,000 to 300: the salary of Chief Inspector John A. Dolan from $1.100 to $1,300 and that of Inspecton Thomas H. Crowley from $1,000 to $1,200. The office of third sanitary inspector is vacant at present but when filled the salary attached will he $1,000. The board also recommends that the sal- ary of Mrs. James A. Kitson be in- creased from $1,000 to $1,300, and that of Miss Sara Carroll, the tuber- culosis nurse, from $1,200 to §1,400. The board will also recommend that the salary of Meat Inspector C. W Witte be increased from $1,000 to $1 700 and that of Miss Gertrude Bow- en, clerk of the hoard, from $800 to $950. Concerning the salary for the office ac- the | of superintendent there ensued quite a lively discussion. The office is at | present vacant since the sailing of Dr. Henry F. Moore for England.
