At the meeting of the hoard of health actin will probably he taken to legis- (ate in connection with the use of private water supplies, particularly wells, The inspectors of the department have taken samples of water from a large number of wells and a good percentage of them reveal traces of sewage contamination. A map, showing the location of private wells, has been prepared and will be submitted at the meeting for the further enlightenment of the com- missioners when they consider the subject. Many of the wells are lo- cated near cesspools and others are commissioners this afternoon on property where sewage flows onto | the | land. Most of the wells are in northwestern part of the city. The health commissioners will con- sider the matter of installing a bet- ter heating system in the municipal slaughter house. The present heater is inadequate. There are members who are opposed to further delay of this matter owing to the steady ad- vance of materials and labor. WORRIL OVER FOLKS AT HOME.
