This is as true of the mere German cen- ters as of the rest of the country. I know that the Ameri- can people are convinced of the jus- tice of our common cause and reso- lute to carry it through on these mor- 'al issues which Germany has forced on the world. ‘Y found a gaod deal of ignorance of the scale on which Great Britain had been fighting and supporting the war and naturally of the details of our warfare. Most Americans had failed to value the many fronts—on thres Continents—on which our arm- ies have been engaged; the vast num- bers of eur armies which were raised betore conscription was established: or the extent of our sacrifices. I sup- plied them with coneise information on 'sach of these subjects. Many aud- ces were amazed at the facts I gave them; and it would have been well worth coming to America for this purpose alone.” DECLARES POPE WILL ‘ RETURN TO POWER Fyangelist Dana Says Prophecy Reveals Pontiff Will Resume His Ancient Aunthority.
