New York, Dec. 22.—Beside the body of a man found shot through the head in the Broadway Central | hotel today was a note which read: “I have had many adventures in many lands and am now about to try | the Great Adventure. “J. C. LARSEN.” Larsen, a patent lawyer, left a tele- gram to his father, Christopher Lar- sen, of Kingston, N. Y., in which he announced his ‘‘sudden death,” sign- ing the message with the name of the hotel manager. He left also $50 with the direction that it was to be used for the cremation of his body. WILSON CAPTURED. Torrington, Dec. 22.—Edward Wil- son, colored, who, derstanding on the part of a deput sheriff in New Haven last September, was dismissed from custody after he had been sentenced to jail for theft, has been captured by the Torrington police. He was returned to New Ha- ven today. Wilson was arrested here in connection with thefts from a freight car. APPROPRIATES $50,000.
