K, First Connecticut infantry, well known Berlin wrestler, seriously injured at ‘Webster Hill and Arch street yester- day when a motorcycle he was riding hit a dog, skidded and hurled him headfirst into a tree trunk, is report- ed as being in a slightly improved con- dition today at New Britain General hospital and will be transferred to a military hospital in Hartford as soon as Dr. C. M. Cooley, surgeon in charge of the case, authorizes the discharge. TO OPERATE ON VIDA. * Lorenzo Vila, victim of a mysterious shooting accident Saturday night in which his right leg was fractured, will be operated on tomorrow at New Brit- ain General hospital for attempted re- moval of the bullet: Dr. Waterman Lyon will be the surgeon. The as- sailant of the victim has been unjden- tified and is still at liberty. Vila per- sists in his determination to give no information tending to throw light on the incident.
