HATCH CO. 23 WERT NAIK STEENY op-unmmm-mm City Advertisement Annual City Meeting Regarding Taxes The voters of the City of New Brit- ain are hereby warned and notifled that a city meeting will be held on the 17th day of April, 1917 at 8 o’clock p. m., at the Grammar school hall on Main street for .the purpose, if it shall deem proper to change and re- vise the estimates made by the Com- mon Council of said city in the month of March 1917 which formed the basis of a tax of sixteen ‘and one-half (161-2) mills upon a dollar laid upon the grand list last made and collected, embracing all the inhabitants and property within the first taxing dis- trict of said city liable to taxation, said tax to be collectible on the first day of July. 1917 and a further tax: of four and one-quarter mills upon | the dollar upon said grand list em- bracing all the inhabitants and prop- erty within the second taxing dis- trict of said city, said tax to be col- lectible also on the first day of July, 1917, which said taxes were laid by the Common Council at its meeting | held on the 28th day of March, 1917 and for the purpose of confirming or disapproving the action of the Com- mon Council in laying said taxes and if deemed .proper to lay such other or different taxes on the inhabitants | and rateable estate of said city in sald taxing districts as such meeting shall order. And also for the purpose of au- thorizing the sale of any and all 1znd or interests therein, including ; buildings which may have been ac- quired prior to the date hereof by the City of New Britain in the pro- cess of collecting taxes.
