WILLIAM FOX PRESENTS VIRGINIA PEARSON IN THE TRUTH | ; LATEST PATHE NEWS FOX COMEDY BRAND NEW BRAIN STORMS WITH BILLY MASON JUST FOR THESE TWO DAYS NEW BRITAIN DAILY HERALD, TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, 'MARRIED MEN PROVE Rogers and His Downtrodden Mates Acquire Victory No. Once more the married men's bowl- ing quintet of the Aetna alleys, dis- played their superiority over the sin- gle men's aggregation last evening, when two of the three games rolled broke in favor of the m. m. With a changed lineup from that of last week, the bachelors were confident that victory would be their reward, but disappointment was in store for them. Eddie Anderson who is stag- ing a wonderful comeback, rolled in fine fashion piling up a total score of 346 for three strings and was a tower of strength to the victors. Eddle also acquired the high single score of the match, 126, made in the first game and it tended to take some of the confidence away from the single men. Hines wasgnext in line for honors with 815 for total score. Reflection from the glass on Rogers left hand effected his eye and a total score of 304 was the best he could acquire. For the losers, Jurgen and T. Wright were the most consistent pin toppers. Members of the weaker sex from the American Paper Goods company enjoyed another frolic on the maples last evening, and from late accounts, the manager of the alleys has not been forced to replace any ping for damage done by the embryonic lane artists. The eyes of the local sporting con- tingent are cast on the Church street alleys this evening, when three of the greatest duck pin topplers iff the Nut- meg State, Clemtino, Stefano and Carmen of the Venetlan alleys, Hart- ford, will come to this city to stack up against the pick of the Aetna al- leys consisting of Joe Foots, Eddie Anderson and Bill Brennecke in the first series of games for a purse of $100. Bowling fans from both cities will be out in' abundance, Manager Rogers having recelved numerous re- quests for seat reservations. Five games will be rolled and the locals | Hines Screen T. 7 7 Mr. Manuel Martone |* ‘The Minstrel Tenor Late of Dockstader's Minstrels T FOXMATINEES = _, EVERYBODY 5¢/| hire for long hauls and excava- work, .Capacity 53 tons.
