The maximum penalty on the count is ten years in state prison and on the second count it is three years. The alleged court bonds Judge James T. The officer testified that Klatt admit- ted the offense and begged to be set free. The girl has fits almost every day of her life, the moth- er stated, and has to be-watched con- stantly. Dr. George Bodley, who was called to examine the girl after the alleged assault testified that an ase- sault had been committed. Lawyer Morris D. Saxe, counsel for the accused, asked that in case the court saw fit to bind his client over to the superior court the bond of $2,000 be lowered. Judge Meskill declined to lower the bond and Klatt was taken back to jail this afternoon to awalit trial next month. Fined For Assault. The only other case in court today was against Konstanti Yablonski, charged with punching Mrs. Alice Mi- holski at a wedding in Benz’s hall last night.
