I. T. LINCOLN GETS SIX YEAR SENTENCE Three Years on Each of Two Charges for Self-Termed German Spy. London, July 5.—A sentence of three years’ penal servitude has been imposed upon Ignatius Tribich Lin- coln, the self-styled German spy who recently confessed to forgery at his preliminary hearing on that charge. A verdict of guilt was found against Lincoln yesterday immediately after the jury received the case. The sum- muning up took less than a half hour. Lincoln was sentenced to three years on each of two charges of forgery, the terms to run concurrent- ly. In summing up the judge said he was dealing with the prisoner sim- ply as a man convicted of forgery, whose conduct was the more danger- ous because he was well educated. No one in court would have heard any thing in regard to other aspects of h case, the court said, if the prisoner had not alluded to them. On being arraigned in police court Lincoln who previously had asserted the British authorities desired to punish him for espionage, contended that the forgery charge could not be proceeded with owing to the terms of the treaty between the TUnited States and Great Britain. The Great Inventory Sale at Wise, Smith & Co.’s—Practically Every- thing in the Big Store at Re- duced Prices. This is the sale when nearly every- thing in the immense stocks, of the Big Store of Wise, Smith & Co.’s is brought forward and marked down in price, “Taking Inventory,” is an event of magnitude in such a great establishment as Wise, Smith & Co.’s when you realize that there are ten large floors in the main building and five more big floors in the annex filled to overflowing with staple merchan- dise, you can see it means strenuous work to “take inventory,” and the In- ventory sale precedes stock taking at the Big Store in order that the many department heads may adjust their stocks. However, bear in mind the fact that the Inventory Sale is very much more important than the or- dinary Clearance Sale, because every- thing in the entire mammoth stocks are reduced in price except a limited number of restricted articles, and at this time when market prices have so greatly increased the Inventory Sale bargains will be all the more ap- preciated. The sale will commence Thursday morning July 6th and af- fords a rare opportunity for saving money on seasonable merchandise of every description that is carried by such a big store as Wise, Smith & CHILDREN WE WORRY ABOUT Close confinement in school during the past winter, overstudy perhaps, an attack of the grip or tonsilitis, some one of these things is doubtles: respon- _ sible for the condition of the child who shows a decline in health now. What are the symptoms? Pallorand languor, a fickle appetite, dark rings under the eyes, bronchial colds. Very often the best efforts of the family physician fail in such cases and the condition of the child causes the most intense anxiety. Cod-liver oil, sooiten prescribed, generally fails because the weak stomach is unable to digest fats. Try this treatment. Before break- fast each morning give the child the juice of half an orange. _After thenoon meal give one of Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills. Keep this up for a few days and then give one of the pills after the evening meal also. Weigh the child before beginning the treatment and again after two weeks. An increase in weight of from two to five pounds will show you that you are on the right track at last. Care is necessary in the diet of the patient and it will be well to send to the Dr. Williams Medicine Co., Schenectady, N. Y., for a diet book and the pamphlet, ‘‘Building Up the Blood.”” Both are free. _Yourown druggist sells Dr, Williamg’ Pink Pills, good living. ing. sea-vistas.
