State’s Attorney Alling objected to the bailing of the prisoner on the ground that the offense was too seri- ous, but his objections were overruled by Judge Gager. Bonds of $5,000 was furnished the surety company of New York which furnished the previous bail and Triplett was released. In mak- ing the decision to let the prisoner out on bail Judge Gager said that he did not minimize the seriousness of the alleged crime, but that it was his opinion that the prisoner could be re- leased without danger to society.
