The New York Sun says that Pro- | fessor Yandell Henderson 1s gullty of kaving an heterophemous stenograph- er. We have seen red-headed sten- cgraphers, and oleaginous stenogra- phers, impecunious stenographers, im- petuous stenographers, impeccable stenographers, and other stenograph- ers in fine variety, but the hetero- phemous kind is a new style and Dr, Henderson teally has one, should think, off hand, from the by, that the fact might, with the peculiarities of his essays. Dr. Henderson may have been a progressive, and he certainly strained conventions when he actually went out among the people and tried to persuade them of his views. but that is no reason why folks should say he has a heterophemous stenographer. Such talk is infamous. Tt is cruel, too, to - dompromise a stenographer, who may be a man, after all. e —— If you are out of work dou’t waste your time wan. dering aimjessly about mak. ing a nuisance of yourself in places where the employers have more help than they know what to do with.
