PULLAR & NIVEN SALTS TN HOT WATER _CLEARS PIMPLY SKIN Says We Must Make Kidneys Clean the Blood and Pimples Disappear. Pimples, sores and boils usually re- sult from toxins, poisons and impuri- ties which are generated in the.bow- 2 pls and then absorbed into the blood through the very ducts Wwhich should absorb only, nourishment to sustain the body. It is the function of the kidneys to filter impurities from the blood and cast them out in'the form of urine, but in many instances the ' bowels create more toxins cnd impurities 7 than the kidneys can eliminate, then the blood uses the-skin pores as the next best means of getting rid of * these impurities which often -break out all over the skin in the form of pimples. The surest Way to clear the. skin of these eruptions, says a noted author- ity, is to get from any pharmacy about’ four ounces of Jad Salts and take a tablespoonful in a glass of hot water each morning before breakfast for one week. This will prevent the formation of toxins in the bowels. It also stimulates the kidneys to normal activity, thus coaxing them to filter the blood of impuzities and clearing the iskin. of pimples. Jad Salts is inexpensive, harmless and is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with li- thia. Here you have a pleasant, ef- fervescent drink which usually makes pimples disappear; cleanses the blood and is excellent for the kidneys as well. Treasurer Thea Tures Pistol on Himseif. New York, Marcah 23.—Howard Boocock, treasurer of the Astor Trust company of this city and prominent in New York society, shot and killed his wife last night as she was playing the piano for his entertainment their home in East 74th street. The banker then committed suicide with the same revolver. According to the police the banker left no word explaining the murder and suicide, nor could any member of ter. The servants declared that the couple lived on the most affectionate terms, Occurred After Dinner. The tragedy occurred soon after dinner. rel between the Boococks they concealed it successfully from the servants, according to the latter. The maid who served dinner, however, told the police that Mr. Boocock scemed to be laboring under some excitement, After dinner the two Boocock chil- dren, a boy eight years old, and a girl of eleven, were sent to their rooms while the parents went to the drawing room. Mrs. Bocock took her place on the piano bench and her husband lay down on a couch. From the position of the wife’s body when the police arrived, it was apparent that the husband had spoken to her as she played with her back to him. She had turned around to reply when the banker fired. Servant Heard Shots. One of the servants told the police that she heard three shots. The first bullet fatally wounded Mrs. Boocock, the mark of the second was found in the ceiling; the third ‘ended the banker's life. He had shot himself through the head. The servants, thrown into a panic, teldphoned to a friend of Mrs. Boo- cock, Mrs, Henry P. Davison, wife of the banker, who is a member of the firm of J. P. Morgan & Co. Mr. and Mrs. Davison live near the Boocock home and at the urgent plea of the servants Mrs. Davison went to’' her friend’s house and from there sum- moned a physician. The doctor found Mr. Boocock dead and his wife breathing her last. The Boocock home is in East street, just off Central park. Boocock Yale Graduate. Mr. Boocock, besides being treas- urer of thie Astor Trust company, was. connected with the Astor Safe Deposit company. He was a member ,0f several clubs and was a Yale grad- uate of the class of 1900. He was forty vears old. Tdward H. McDonald, a director of tihe Astor Trust company, said that Mr. Boocodk underwent a sur- gical operation recently and after a partial recovery left about ten days ago for the south. Mr, McDonald gaid he did not know that Mr. Boo- cock nad returned, nor did he know the nature of the banker's illness. He stated that Mr. Boocock's busi- ness accounts were perfect in every way. Many friends of the Boocock fam- ily last night expressed the opinion that the tragedy was the result of a Tdth nervous breakdown, WILSON WRITES TO BELGIAN CHILDREN President Expresses Appreciation of Gratitude Shown by Youngsters For Food Sent From America.
