From amongst the members of the Junior O. U. A. M. in this cit club ¥ been formed, with W . Mc- Daniel, a former militiaman, and Sec- | ond Lieutenant Raymond R. Rand, of Co. I, First Regiment, C. N. G., as th prime movers. Mr. McDaniel has re- ceived notice from the secretary of war that if 100 members are secured | twenty rifles, of the Krag-Jorgenson type, will be loaned. A bond of $100 will be required to insure good car for the guns. If only seventy-five members are secured fifteen guns will be sent, together with a quantity of amunition. The rifle range in Kens- ington will be used. The charter of the new rifle will be open from three weeks, but al- ready sixty-five members have joined. The new officers are: President—A. M. Williams. Vice President—John Mitchell. Secretary—E. M. Jones. Treasurer—M. C. Vensel. Execuvtive Officer—W. A. McDa Chamberlain Council. A regular meeting was held last Saturday evening after which another round in the pinochle tournament was played. The officers for the National Rifle association were elected Jast Sat- urday evening after the meeting. An initiation will be held this week Sat- urday evening. On Wednesday evening, Feb- ruary 24, the degree team will go to Middletown to put on the degree work on a class of candidates for General Mansfield council of that city.
