Congressman Kennedy the Waterbury district has introduced a | bill for the erection in Washington of a monument to John Ericsson, in- ventor and constructor of the Monitor. The monument is to cost $125,000, and is to be erected under the direc- tion of a commission composed of the chairmen of the senate and house committees on the library and the secretary of the navy. of JOHNSON WINS DOG RACE.
