Grandma Never Let Her Hair Get Gray Kept Her Locks Dark, Thick, Glossy, with Sage ‘Tea and Sulphur. ‘When you darken your hair 'with Bage Tea and Sulphur, .no one can tell, because it’s done so naturally, so evenly. Preparing this .'mixture, though, at home is mussy and trouble- some. For 50 cents you can buy at gny drug store the ready-to-use tonic called “Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy.” You just damp- en a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time. By morn- ing all gray hair disappears, and, af- ter another application or two, your hair becomes beautifully darkened, glossy and luxuriant. You will also ; discover dandruff is gone and hair has stopped falling. Gray, faded bair, though no dis- grace, is a sign of old age, and as we ! all desire a youthful and attractive | appearance, get busy at once with Wyeth’'s Sage and Sulphur and look years younger. IMPROVED WATERWAYS ARE NOW DEMANDED Rep. Wiiliam E. Homphrey Claims Commerce Requres Thom. (Special to the Herald.) Washington, D. C., April 10— There_ is prgbphp', np man ,in cons gress, certainly no man from the: Pa« cific northwest, who has given more serious study to the demands of commerce, in the way of improved waterways, than Representative Wil- liam E .Humphrey of the state of ‘Washington. Speaking of the River and Harbor appropriation bill, which was used as a “buffer” td postpone counsideration of the Sims' repeal-of-free-tolls bill, Mr. Humphrey said: “While the Riv- er and Harbor bill is the largest we have passed since the policy of an- nual river - and harbor bills was adopted, and very much more time than usual was given to its considera- tion, the fact that but one amend- ment, changing its total appropria- tion, was adopted, demonstrates its absolute fairness to all sections ot the country. No Serioug Objections. “The amount which the bill ap- propriates for the Pacific coast may seem large to some, but in all my experience in the house and certain- ly since my service on the Rivers and Harbors committee, I have yet to hear of any: serious objections to a Pacific project, worthy of improve- ment. “This great fact must not be lost sight of, one of the very first pur-~ poses for improving our rivers and harbors is not only the carriage of commerce by water but the reduction of railroad rates that will result from this water carriage. Water competi- tion is a far more effective regulator of freight rates than any statute law congress can place on the books. Encourage Merchant Marine. “The merchant marine of the United States should .be encouraged by any and all means which will re- store our flag to «the seas.
