Tallahassee, Fla., April 17—It is now generaly believed at the capital that the woman suffrage legislation will meet the same fate that fell to the lot of the prohibition movement. One of the zreatest drawbacks to se- curing any legislation on the sub- ject at this session, however, seems to be due to a disagreement among the woman’s organizations of the state. There is at st two distince movements on foot to have eracted a clanse providing the women, one of th headed by organization formed at Orlando, and the other at Jacksonville. And these organizations seem not to be work- ing in harmony. Today it is reported that theo jint committees in the legislature have reported the measure desired by one organization, uufavorably and that such a bill will not come up for dis- cussion on the floor. Up to Wednes- day it was believed that the vote would be granted at this session, but a statement from a prominent mem- ber of the house gave credence to the report that now the prohibition amendment had been lost, the suf- frage question would never be con- sidered. The zentleman in ques- tion further stated that had the resolution for prohibition —am¢ nd- ment been passed, submitting the question to a vote, it was the avow ed intention of those who opposed the amendment to get behind the suffrage measure and push them through. Now the general expres- sion of members is to confine their work to general laws that have !k_mvl— ed both houses during the eight days the legislature hag been In sion KA P R tising are as much the as of the modern business as its zood nam¢ its bills receivable or trade. “Economics reasoned out and of logic.
