The Telegram maintains a representative at Talwhassee during the session of the legislature, and is giving daily | reports of ‘the proceedings of the Solons, being right up to the minute in_this respect. Mr. Claud F. BIG FEATURE AT THE MAJESTIC NEXT THURSDAY Bert Levey, vaudeville magnate of the Pacific coast, is sending his big six reel moving picture comedy fea- ture, “Tillie’s Punctured Romance,” to the Majestic next Thursday. This is the picture you have heard as be- ing the “funniest picture in the world,” in which Marle Dressler, famous comedienne of the farce comedy stage, is starring, supported by Charlie Chaplin, Mabel Normand, Charles Murray, and other well known comedians of the legitimate stage and moving picture world. The story has a well defined plot, be- ing an adaptation from Miss Dress- ler's great success, “Tillie's Night- mare,” ‘and the comedy runs riotous- {1y through the six reels, lasting for an hour and a half. Interesting ,comic pictures are quite often seen, | but nearly always they are short, as ‘ll is a difficult matter to prolong a funny story in a picture. “Tillie's jPunctured Romance” is a stroke ‘gonms There isn’t a slow spot in it. Presented by mediocre players it would be a “scream.” With the funny players who do appear, it is a veritable riot from the opening reel to the very last—and this last lone, by the way, is the fastest and .funnmql ever flashed on a screen. 'You owe it to yourself to see this picture. To miss it is to carry a life-long regret. Florldn avenue from the city lim- its to Medulla has been clayed and put in splendid shape, only a short gap, which will be finished in the next few days, now remaining. The | o road leading out of town is a fine piece of work and renders traveling, either by auto or hayburner, a real pleasure and the drive around Lake Hollingsworth will now be extreme- Iy popular. It is hard to estimate the splendid returns good roads will yield in dollars and cents to this community, as the country sur- rounding Lakeland is the prettiest in the State and with good roads, such as now are being built, new- |comers will become so impressed that they will not be satisfied until their entire acquaintanceship “back home” moves down to Lakeland. | Theroad leading. to Kathleen 'completed about three weeks and this splendid strawberry sec- tion, in which are embraced the towns of Galloway and Griffin, is now easy of access and new growth was ago 'm ON TELEPHONE UNDERGROUND SYSTEM PROGRESSING NICELY Mr. W. He was once attacked by in- flammatory rheumatsm, and was carefully nursed by his wife, who was very devoted to him, in spite of his fault-finding disposition. His suffering caused her to burst into tears sometimes as she sat by his bedside. One day a friend came in and ask- 1ed him how he was getting on. “Badly, badly,” he exclaimed; i ““and it's all my wife's fault.”™ “Is it posible?” asked the friend in surprise. “Yes. The doctor told me that humidity was bad for me, and there that woman sits and cries just to make it moist in the room.” Diplomats declare that conditions in Mexico City are worse than ever before.
