COLONELS WALK OVER ELKS: WILL PLAY LAKELAND TEAM TOMORROW ‘lhn the Colonels smashed past his head in center and this brought forth the applause. The lead of the Elks was short lived, though. The writer umpired the game and bhad many close calls despite the fact that the crowd and players didn't have any kicks to make. The umps had a hard time dodging the bullets head, however. It was just like standing on the firing line dodging Howitzers and 42 centimeter shells. The umps was kept rather cool by the breeze these sizzlers stirred up as they went by. . The Lakeland boys are going to play the Colonels tomorrow and they are going to try to make the game a closer one than the FElks did. | Lakeland holds up that first score of 7 to 2 as evidence, too, that the con- test will be a close one.
