As the cars went down and then up the Ilong steep inclines, finally entering the lovely House, grounds of the Club which rest on the highest Florida, having an altitude L 27 feet, and the ladies looked acrosg the intervening valleys and saw, on the one hand, the business Douses and residences of Lakeland six miles away, their eyes also rest- ing on the many acres of thriving 'orange groveg which surround the Club House, with beautiful Banana lake nestling at the foot of the hills, it can readily be seen than they were perfectly carried away with what the hand of God and man had wrought and were glad indeed to be privileged to view this lovely scen- €ry. The people of Lakeland deeply ap- preciate the great generosity and splendid hospitality of Mr. Hallam, who so delightfully entertained lakeland's guests on this occasion. For the benefit of our visitors who are not informed in the matter, we desire to explain that the Club ‘House is a private enterprise, owned as are several thousand acres of land surrounding it, by Mr. Hallam and his associates, and while not even a meal can be purchased there, hospitality alwayg reigns supreme, 2nd, any of Lakeland’s guests are al- ways handsomely entertained when opportunity affords. The Club House, we should explain, is maintained for the comfort and convenience of residents who purchase ELAND, FLA., NOV. 20, 1914. @l WALK UPSTAIRS AND SAVE $3 TO $s S Will Be Even The Turkey Well Dressed This How about yourself?
