Law is the will of the governors, whether they be kings or a multitude of monopolists. They are built to compel subjection, to entrust one man with power oves another, to enable him to decide what that other may or may not do, is to magnify the one and belittle the other. It is at the very start a violation of justice, the equal bal- ance is the symbol of justice. A thousand pardons, but our mis- take was quite a natural one. Also, it is impossible to advertise in the Telegram without advertising ‘‘quite extensivedy.” Our circula- tion makes that inevitable. We saw in the Ocala Banner that that city was about to have a bond issue elec- tion and in the same article the Banner mentioned the 1,200 chil- dren in the public schools of Lake- land in the nature of an example or incentive or something of that kind, as we supposed.
