MOST REFRESHING OF BATHS Salt Rub lnvlgoratn the Body and e Invaluable for Clearing the Complexion. Varlous sanatoriums and private hospitals are using the “salt rub,” and it 18 becoming so popular that some Turkish bath establishments are ad- vertising it as a special attraction. It {8 just as good for well persone as sick ones, {8 the most refreshing of all baths and rubs ever invented, only ex- cepting a dip in the sea, and 18 match- less in its effect upon the skin and ' complexion. With all these virtues it s the sim- | plest and most easlly managed of l“] [ ——— smiliar measures, and can be taken at home easily. Put a few pounds of coarse salt—the coarsest you can get, sea salt by preference—in an earthen jar, and pour enough’water on it to produce a sort of slueh, but not enough to dis. solve the sait. This should then be| taken up in handfuls and rubbed briskly over the entire person, but any- one in ordinary health can do it for himself very satisfactorily. This being done the next thing 18 & thorough douching of clear water, pre- ferably cold, and a brisk rubbing with a dry towel. The effect of elation, freshnese and renewed life {8 imme- diately felt, and the satiny texture of the skin and increased clearness and brightness of the complexion swell the testimony in favor of the salt rub. VARIETY IN BLOUSE MODELS Idea for Most Attractive Combination That Anyone WIith Taste WIII Be Able to Fashlion. Some of the new and costly blouse models are made of white Indlan mus- lin of cobweb texture, real valen- clennes and motifs of Maltese lace.| One of these models had loose fronts which were crossed on the breast, Tiny hand-run tucks appeared on the transparent muslin, then there \wre | insertions of old yellow valenciennes and these Insertions and tucks were incrusted with effective motifs of Mals teso lace. The combination was exceedingly ate tractive and the model was to be worm over a little underbodice made of flesh | pink chiffon. Such a blouse would look beautiful if worn in conjunction with an afternoon gown in midnight blue taffeta or black charmeuse. The skirt would probably be draped and there would certainly be a plcturesque coatee which would show off the dainty blouse to perfection. Flesh pink chiffon {6 very much: used fn Paris as a lining for fine lin- gerio blouses. The color I8 so delicate that it hardly suggests pink at all. Nevertheless, it throws out the pat- tern of the lace to perfection. In Making French Knots. It {8 much more satisfactory to use | coarse thread in making French knots ] hecause then the cord or thread need not be wound so many times around the needle, and, therefore, is not so _apt to twist and knot in the wrong place. It is always better to use un- twisted cord for French knots for the same reason. French knots used as ! filler or outline are very effective for bed linen, such as counterpanes and shams. Rose Parasol. One of the prettiest of the summer's parasols {8 made in an ordinary um- brella shape, but at the tip of each rib the silk is gathered a little. These | parasols are made of shaded silk, very' pale rose in the center and deep rose at the edge. | E 1 | The Best Straw Hats in the House Going at 00 While they last LA OPOPOOPO See our Swel!l Line of Ties and Shirts O Let us Save you Money The H Hart Schaffner On Your Next Suit Hub JOS.
