The passenger train carried two express cars and one of them was smashed to splinters. Express Mes- senger Cardon had just left the car which was wrecked when the crash |came. The car contained only a few barrels of fish, and this constituted about the only Yoss of freight, thoush the damage to oq('lh)ment was con- siderable. Besideg the destruction of the express car the pilot of the lo- comotive was demblished, the tender was jammed intothe caboose and |there was some damage to the coal | cars. A wrecking train was sent out from Sanford and cleared the track in a remarkable short time, but the ‘south bound passenger due in Or- lando at 3:05 in the morning- did not reach here until 7 o'clock. The explanation offered for the cars beinz on the main line was that a negligent switchman had left them there intending to return with his engine and get them, but had for- gotten about it. The impact was terrific and the fact that no one was injured may be regarded as miraculous.—Orlando Reporter-Star. REAL ESTATE TRANSFERS (Furnished by the Security Abstract and Title Company.)
