There has always been keen interest in every game played by these teams and wireless reports from Bartow indicate that a big delegation will be up to see the game. Lakeland fans will be there with the bells on too and from all indications neither team will lack for rooters. BUSINESS MEN'S ORGANIZATION A meeting of the grocers and meat cutters of Lakeland was held last night, July 6, for the purpose of framing up an organization that will have for its prime object better protection and the betterment of conditions generally. The following officers were elected: W. P. Pillans, president. D. B. Dickson, vice president. M. A. Smith, secretary. W. J. Reddick, treasurer. A committee, composed of five members was appointed to draw up rules and regulations of said orga- nization to be submitted to the en- tire body at the next meeting which will be Tuesday, July 14. PIONEER CITIZEN OF COUNTY DIES SUDDENLY Mr. 1. Q- Harris, aged 66 years, a well-known eitlzen of Morse, died in this city on Thursday, July 2. He| had beeh ill only a few days and had com® to Lakeland for treatment. Mr. Harrig was a brother of Mrs. R. T. Caddin, of Lakeland. He had also a large family connection in the Morse and Auburndale section. He was a man of fine character and most highly thought of by all who knew him, The funeral took place on Friday at Morse.
