Rev. J. Edgar Wilson, Rev. J. B. Ley and Mr. H. D. Bassett, of Lakeland, were in attendance. Many important matters affecting the church were considered. Rev. C. F. At the meeting of the conference yesterday afternoon a district boadd of church extension was organized, with Rev. R. H. Barnett as presi- dent; Rev. G. L. Roberts, secre- tary; Mr. H. D. Bassett, treasurer. Rev. Dr. S. D. Gordon, of New York, noted as national Y. M. C. A. secretary, and more recently as lecturer and author, was an honored guest of the conference, and deliv- ered two of his quiet talks on “Power” to the edification and de- light of his auditors.
