SRR TR O O T O = T 3 Lk R e N e A U FULLER-CARDWELL WEDDING WAS A BRILLIANT AFFAIR one of the most beautiful wed- jings that has occurred in Lakeland or a long time was solemnized at the | irst Presbyterian church Saturday ovening at six o'clock, when Miss abel Cardwell and Mr. Barnwell ullfl‘ were united in marriage by Rev. S. Patterson. The church was beautifully deco- ated with evergreen, ferns and pal- metto and a suggestion of the holi- day season was afforded by a profu- sion of poinsettas which also carried out the color scheme of red and green. A large white wedding bell was suspended from the ceiling, un- der which the bride and groom made heir nuptial vows. A very uppropriate musical [gram preceded the marriage service, several of Lakeland’s most talented and gifted singers being heard. The first number was a solo by hirs. Madden, “Shubert’s Serenade,” which she sang with unusual sweet- ness. Following Mrs. Madden, Mrs, Herbert J. Drane sang “My Heart oves You, Too” (Roma). This ex- quisitc song was rendered with de- lightiul expression. Mr. Harry Hines was next heard in 0, Promise Me,” which he sang with his accustomed grace and ecase. A beautiful instrumental number Gounod’s “Ave Maria,” was rendered | by Mrs. dificult selection with her usual skill, Just preceding the entrance of the wedding party, Miss Bertha Biewer sang “A Song of Thanksgiv- ing” (Francis Alitsen).
