W. Watson on South Florida avenue on Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Mrs. McDonald and Miss Sarah Polk will be the readers for this meeting. Ev- ery member is cordially invited to be present. * * » Cumberland Presbyterian Ladieg Held Meeting The third and last thank offering meeting for the vear was conducted by the Ladies’ Missionary Socfety of he Cumberland Presbyterian church at the home of Mrs. J. P. Wilson on Tuesday afternoon. Most of the members of the society and several friends were present. An interest- ing program was rendered in which all present took part. Brilliant piano music was rendered by Misses Mary McKay and Marion Coleman, which was especially appreciated and en- joyed by all. Tt being thanksgiving season of the year all seemed to en- ter enthusiastically into the meet- ing, all feeling and many express- ing thanks for special as well as gen- eral blessings since last thanksgiv- ing season. After the devotional par-t of the meeting an hour or more was spent socially, "dainty refresh- ments being served and as the shaides of evening lengthened the members were forced to leave, all thanking Mrs. Wilson for her hospitality and trusting all might be permitted to meet on many more occasions of like nature. The society has conducted these thankoffering meetings tri- annually for several years and they have proved a great blessing not only financially but spiritually and are looked forward to with pleasant an- ticipation from time to time. Picnic on Lake Wire Yesterday Afternoon Miss Hessie Dodd, leader of Sun- beam Band of the First Baptist church gave a picnic on Lake Wire. All reported a fine time. Those pres- ent were Helen and Janie Combs, Esther Clonts, Margaret Scarlet, Margaret Marshall, Edna Williams, Ruby Mae and Mary Lane, Mary House, Marie Snowden ~ Elizabeth Graves, Kathline Flynn, Hattie and Helen Davis, Margaret and Camille Owens, Nettie Mae Howard, Alma Brodwell, Paul and Edward Snow- flen, Henley Combs, Leonard and V. C. Williams, C. F. Owens. The anual banquet of the senior department of the Y. M. C. A. in Pensacola took place Thursday night. MAJESTIC.
