Camp Fire Girls Met Yesterday Seek beauty, give service, pursue | knowledge, be trustworthy, hold on to health, glorify work, be happy— this is the law of the Fire. A happy and enthusiastic group of girls met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Donald Adair to complete the organization of a Camp Fire. Many things of interest to the work were discussed and some work accom- plished. Among other things the name and symbol of this particular “Fire" were decided upon. This Camp Fire will hereafter be known as the Minne Wa Wa (Rus- tling of the Pines) Camp Fire and its symbol a sprig of pine bearing a bunch of needles and a ripa cone. It being necessarv to win ten hon- ors to attain the first rank—that of Wood Gatherer—all the miembers are hard at work and a good deal of discussion ensued as to the prop- r method of performing the work, Definite Instructions were given in several honors that all were I3 | striving for, and several sirls took part in the whole ceremony. As each fire must secure its own equip- ment, the members are striving to tund to start on moving until W peneral Kcep things secure 1o sufficient from time to time to en- able them to have all the opportun- ;l|u'.~ and privileges ot Camp Fire | Qirls. Mrs. Pike Adair donated the amount necessary for the purchase of the “Count Book,” the official record hook containing the symbolice form hlanks for keeping track of the honors and attainments of each zirl and also the doings of the Camp Fire as a whole. It being the most expensive piece of their equipment the girls are overjoyed to know that it is now theirs. The “Fire” will meet every Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock with their uardian unless otherwise notified. The parents are asked to do all they can to make it possible for the girls to secure their tull equipment that interesting as possible NOTICE On Monday nest, Sept. 2 we will put on special delivery man with team, whose business and to give our pa and eflicient gervice.
