According to the Dry Goods Econo- mist, simple tailored styles for every- @y wear are recciving the most at- tention in children's coats. Such gar- ments are shown in serges, Bedford eords, whipcerds, popling and fancy mixtures. The collars, cuffs and revers are usually of silk, ratine or cioth in some bright color. On the dressier sumbers lingerie collars and cuffs are employed. are made detachable, so that they can 0o easily laundered. Belts are a fea tare of many of the best selling models. Frequently the belt is seen only in the back section. When the eatire belt is used it is placed several faches below the waist line and is made of satin, silk or velvet. Plain or crushed broad velvet belts are con- eidered particularly sinart and are wsed with excellent effect on bright eolored coats in red, Wilhelmina blue, an and rose.
