She will leave Thursday for Key West, i where she will spend two days with her brother, returning to Jackson- ville via the Over-Sea railroad. <. S 8. Tyner, of Wins- visiting Mr. and erday v M. F. "It is a mighty good thing for the people of this country,” says Abe Peters, “that the fly hasn't any sense, Aty will walk deliberately into any part of a trap with its eyes wide op- en. Put down a piece of sticky fly Faper and pretty soon a dozen flies are fast on it. That isn’t so remark- £ble, but every one of them kick and siruggle as long as it lasts, telling every other fly that it is in trouble “Naturally, one would suppose that the other flies, seeing what the first dozen had got into, would keep Lway, but they don’t. The more flies B¢t stuck on the paper, the more the others want to get on. It is so with any sort of trap. You can't fix up anything in the nature of a trap tha* @ fool fly won't fall for. If it wasn't for the fact that a fly can raise a fam- 1y of 15,000 or 20,000 children in- side of a week, and that a baby fly on Monday morning may be the &reat-grand-mother of a million flies befor Saturday night, the tribe would kave been extinet long ago. “And yet, come to think it over, | don’t know but that flies show about @ much sense as a lot of humans. The ool humans keep walking into traps with their eyes wide open year after much of anything from either obser- vition or experience. Every time | see o young fellow just throwing jhimselt away and ruining all his chances fore of amounting to any- |(hin: and doing it with his eyes wide Jopen, 1o say to myself, *Well, I guess there are a good many of us humans Who haven't any more sense than so ey fool flies."
