During Mr. Orme’s ab- sence, his aunt, Mrs, John Orme, stopping at the Tremont. is Dr. J. A. Chapman was one of the first Veterans to return from the re- union, reaching Lakeland on the carly morning train. Dr. Chapman stated that the people of Macon gave each Veteran personal attention, and that all were royally entertained This was the first reunion Dr. Chap- man ever attended, and it was, in- deed, a very pleasant and happy ex- perience. While in Macon he had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Groover's fa- ther, who was taking in the festivi- ties und enjoying himself generally.
