What is probably one of the oddest accidents on record occurred in Al- toona, Pa., the other night. John Wood was pulling off his breeches preparatory to going to bed. Some matches and a knife fell out of one of his pockets. The knife struck 1 a.ateh and set it ablaze and from that 211 of the other matches blazed and et the bedclothes afire. Meanwhile John's legs got tangled in the legs of the breeches and he fell over a chair.
