TWEEDELL THE EVENI Peculiar Situation - In Shaker Murder L Case gt Kissimmee i | | | Kissimmee, Fla., Nov. 22, A pe- culiar sttuation has developed here lin the matter of the Shakers now {being held on the charge of mur- :dm‘. | 1t appears that the county judge, when he held the inquest over the | body of the dead woman, Sadie Mar- | chant, ordered that the stomach ot the woman be removed and analyzed by an expert. This was accordingly tdunc by a professor in the Universt- ity of Florida at Gainesville. After the examination had been made the professor notified the authorities that he had made the examination, and would submit his report when- ever the authorities paid him seven- ty-five dollars for making the exam- ination. The bill of the professor was pre- sented to the county commissioners at their session the first of this month and they voted to postpone consideration of the matter until the next regular meeting, which will not be held until after the time tor the Shaker trial.
