Page 8 THE KEY WEST CITIZEN Thursday, Decembers30, 1954 Try A ‘Quick Action Giizen Classfied Ad Dial 25061 or 25662 Children Are Treated To Gala Party Approximately 90 children in the Key West area enjoyed a Christ- mas day dinner at the Naval Air Station Chief Petty Officers Clun, with the Navy and civilians join- ing to make the day memorable. Highlights of the day were the arrival of Santa Claus, with a gift for each child; seeing a movie ob- tained especially for the occasion; and the big Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The management of the club had high praise for local merchants who assisted in making the party a success. “Of all the people asked to help, mot one refused,” the club manag- er said, “Everyone was more than willing to help in any way they could, It is just another example of the splendid cooperation between the Navy and civilian population.” The party was made possible by donations of Air Station individuals who acted as both foster parents and chaperones, The local Kiwanis Club, aided by the chaplains through Chaplain E. R. Lineberger, invited the children from various churches, welfare groups and other organizations. The De Conna Ice Cream Co. donated ice cream for the kiddies. Individual fruit cakes were contri- buted by Holsum Bread Co. The Commissary Supply Co. of Miami, Bernie C, Papy and Lays Potato Chip Co. donated candy, and the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and Lopez Wholesale Liquors gave soft drinks. Rita Hayworth, Columbia Pictures Patch Up Quarrel RENO @—Rita Hayworth will return to Hollywood to make two movies, thus ending a six-month suspension from Columbia Studios. In a terse statement announcing a contract was signed here Tuesday night, Miss Hayworth’s attorneys gaid the two pictures “would end her Columbia association.” There was no mention of salary. It was reliably reported, however, that the actress’ husband, crooner Dick Haymes, successfully held out for one million dollars plus $150,000 per picture. ‘The announcement said Hayworth would start work. in March on “Joseph and His Breth- ren,” a biblical story in which she will have the role of Princess Zu- leika. Her second film has not been | tor, selected. In Hollywood Columbia said only: “‘All differences which have existed are being adjusted to the mutual satisfaction of all parties.” The last picture Miss Hayworth did for Columbia was “‘Miss Sadie Thompson” a year ago, LEGAL NOTICES UNITED STATES DISTRICT upon a cl and maritime for cause of contract amounting to $432.55.
