Americans Aid Debt-Ridden Young Japanese TOKYO #—A dazed young Jap. anese today received $138 in dona- tions from Americans and began liquidating the debts that had forced him to offer his life for sale. “I can’t believe it, my legs can’t be touching the ground,” said through an interpreter. The $138 is a modest sum. But, combined with his new job, it rep- sesents a new lease on life. More than $100 was contributed by residents of Kansas City.
