SOCIETY — PERSONALS — SUE JONES, Editor eS Page 2 THE KEY WEST CITIZEN Wednesday, September 15, 1954; dancing was the keynote of the evening. ‘Reais rere cerns orm Eocene of This may sound rather strange, but years ago one of the many things which endeared Our Town to yours truly — was shopping, and by this I mean — the attitude and manner in which it was done. It was an important part of the day. Meeting friends and chatting and inquiring about. mutual friends | made up one aspect. Also, there| was telling of jokes and much laughter. Of course, social engage- ments were also made and then too, there was always the invita- tion “to sit awhile. and rest your- self.”” And about two hours later, when I returned from my first shopping with a friend — who knew everyone — could not help realiz- ing how re .ly good all this was. Yes, today’s shopping trip was indeed punctuated by ‘‘Well, hi” — and “How are you” and in addi- tion to the fun and friendship of Our Towr., yours truly found the following— G@uemzte Phobee Hazelwood Morse, 522 Elizabeth Street is quite well- known for het amazing ability at making silhouettes.
