Chico escaped Friday from the automobile repair yard operated by his owner, Luscious Stevens, The monkey laid low until yes- terday. Then, in a holiday he turned the North Philadelphia neighborhood around the repair yard upside down. He disrupted several checker games.on front steps by scattering checkers in all directions. Then ne ran through a number of back yards, pulling clothes from lines. Police and the Pennsylvania |r SPCA were called. No one could coax Chico to surrender. Then Tex Emery, a driver for the PSPCA, thought of Jo Jo, Chico’s compan- don at the repair yard. i Jo Jo was chained to an auto- mobile in a garage. Presently, Chico showed up. He paused only a moment, then entered the garage, Emery closed the door behind the animal. Emery grabbed the trapped runaway with a catpole and returned him to Stevens, Husband Protests NOTICE I will not be responsible for any debts contracted by anyone other “Dated September 4, 1954 (sé) HARRY W. a Key West, Fla. sept. 4-7-8, 1954. : Defendant.
