City Finance Director John Day-was officially authorized yes- terday to sign city checks at a special meeting of the City Com- mission. Day will assume his new duties Wednesday. Former Finance Direc- tor Craig Bowen, it was revealed Monday, will remain in Key West for an entire week to indoctrinate Day in office procedure.
