Program For Labor Day Festival At Bayview Park Activities at Bayview Park for the Labor Day Festival sponsored by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will include everything from pota- to races to a doll show and baby contest. ‘The day-long festival gets under way at 9 a. m. with ‘‘Three-legged” potato races and a 50 yard dash in which both boys and girls may compete. Contestants should register at the park on Labor Day morning. The children’s races will be fol- lowed at 10:30 by a tug-of-way be- tween representatives of various civic organizations. At 11. o’clock the baseball throw for boys and basketball throw for girls gets underway. The next con- test is a tug-of-war for boys. The doll show begins at 1:00 p. m. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed doll, the oldest doll and the largest doll. “Little mothers” should register their dol- lies at the park during the morn- ing. The evenings will begin with “eats” at 6 o'clock. At 6:30 there will be handcraft, led by Bill Hoff- man; 7:15 is the time set for a study group, led by Rev. Eldon Simmons.
