Baker. Purchase price was not disclosed. Baker said the 44-passenger pres- surized planes, will be placed in service on intermediate flights on the.NAL system. Since both air- eraft are new, only an application of National’s exterior color mark- ings will be necessary before plac- ing the planes in scheduled ser- vice, he said. Acquisition of the aircraft boosts NAL’s Convair - 340 fleet to ten. These twin-engined planes, one of the most modern types of aircraft now operated on medium length air routes, are flown by more than 20 foreign and domestic carries.
