utheran Church Builds School Room New CBS Building Near Church. Will House Two Classrooms Another building marking the growth of the Grace Lutheran Church is nearing completion. Kindergarten Teacher The kindergarten director will be Miss Carolyn Pomerenke, However, ~ | by the time school opens -next month, Miss Pomerenke will be Mrs.°Eldon Weisheit. The couple will be married Aug. 15. The Rev. Sammetinger estimat- ’ |es that there will be 60 kindergar- ten students and an equal number. in the’ first three grades. The Rev. Sammetinger said the aim of the Grace Lutheran Day School was to provide a Christian education in a single environment which substitutes for the combina- tion of school and the church’s part-time. agencies of re- ligious instruction. Sept. 19 has been set _as:the date for the dedication of the new school building and for the installation of Mr. Sagehorn as principal. NEW LUTHERAN SCHOOL — Cost of this new educational building at the Grace Lutheran Church, 10th Street and Flag- ler Avenue, has been kept down by parishoners and church trustees doing finishing work. The parishoners will paint the ex- terior of the building while the trustees are building cabinets and doing other interior finishing. The building will be equipped with travelling cranes and an ele- vator to help handle heavy units that are to be tested. The architect. and engineers for the new building, like’the construc- tion company, are both Miami con- cerns. ¥ Stewart and Skinner were the architects and Maurice H. Connell and Associates, the engineers. Romero will be built at 1615 Washington, also by Porter-Wagor-Russell, Construction work in the city, while not good, continues fair with the first seven months of this year showing $6,804 more in permits is- sued than during the same period last year.
